![]() Worth mentioning, you can sink hundreds of hours in starmancer but a few mis steps and it all goes down hill, the games more forgiving in the sense infinite respawning npcs. I personally gave up on star mancer solely because of how broken it really is. So honestly you need to decide, which you prefer. In Space haven, im not plagued by these headaches, sure they exist but its far more manageable and you can find it being something as simple as broken supply chain or just walled out environment but the game gives you a clue about resource depletion or lack of things where as star mancer just lets you suffer with no idea whats broken, and even with optimal setup/storage/pathways the game decides to make you suffer for no reason. New patch live on our testing branch A Space Ship for missions and making friends Upgrade Modules to optimize your economy A Starmap, so you don't get lost Stream -> /starmancergame (click this link to see my face) Steam -> bit.ly/3mZTCND (you can. like 500+ surplus ammo yet the units cannot at all properly stock 10 turrets with full ammo. Built all the amenities they need and ample stockpile, and yet they still find a way to just suck, absolutely suck and go on a rampage. ![]() To each their own though, i gave star mancer a chance solely because it fit my interests in space simulators, just the brutal lag and massive slow downs make it pretty painful to play and effectively kills the game for me, due to how in star mancer my units wont properly restock anything or just get stuck in a infinite loop of being douchy snobs and eating poop or just straight going crazy. I prefer Star haven personally as a kick starter backer, and the fact the game just has so many things you can do its nuts. Honestly both are in the same genre of space sim just ones less fleshed out and less stable. ![]() In space haven you normally catch on early on and its easier to pickup and start over much easier with out slow downs vs star mancer. not so much unless you set up some sorta backup system in place for the save system (based on save intervals) so you don't shoot yourself in the foot. ![]() At least with space haven you can roll back, with star mancer. Star Mancer is far less forgiving besides the bad lag, it also punishes you in a far worse manner than space haven. You'll just suffer and need to revert back a few saves before you burned up all your resources. Space Haven is more forgiving in a variety of methods as well as just as equally if not much more brutal if you have no idea what your doing, you'll suffer because you won't beable to jump out of system to really survive. Space haven is better hands down, from the way the game handles basically, everything on the back end to randomization and story mode. ![]()
